The Best-Selling Product Lines in 2012

Recently, TLG has published an article about the annual report for 2012 on it site. The best-selling LEGO® Product Lines or Themes in 2012 announcement is also included in it. Honestly, I just get surprised because there is only one licensed in it. Here is the list of them,

  1. City
  2. Star Wars™
  3. Ninjago
  4. Friends
According to that report article, TLG is very surprised with the Friends line achievement because it can reach the top four best-selling just after the official release in the beginning of 2012. Uniquely, the 3rd, Ninjago line which contribute the strong growth in Asia is temporary discontinued until 2014.

So, what do you think about this Best-Selling Product Lines in 2012 List above guys?

Top Floor - There are a lot of space for Jabba's guard on the top floor. It has 3 gun turrets and 2 masts along with it fabric sail. The main gun turret's barrel can be flicked.

Bottom Floor - I believe the bottom floor isn't sufficiently occupied with too many minifigures but nicely featured. It contains prison, a kind of kitchen, Jabba's room with colorful tiled seat, and Max Rebo's organ-like instrument. Just open the doors to reveal it. There are also some windows that doors.

This preview is based on the images and video coverage of LEGO® Star Wars™ 75020 Jabba's Sail Barge when displayed in 2013 NY Toy Fair from FBTB Flickr Stream and YouTube channel.

75021 Republic Gunship Preview

LEGO® 75021 Republic Gunship will be officially available on August 2013. According to it box image on FBTB Flickr Stream, this Star Wars Episode II : Attack of the Clones sub-theme set contains 1175 pieces used to build 7 minifigures (only 2 of them that aren't new), an epic Republic Gunship, a swoop bike, and some accessories. The price of this set is $119.99. A bonus poster also included to this set.
Minifigures
  • Anakin Skywalker (new) - He is the new 2013 Episode II version of Anakin Skywalker minifigure. He got newly added hair piece and nice printed Jedi uniform on his torso, back, and legs. The torso also printed with Padawan trademark hair marking. A green bladed lightsaber is equipped to him.
  • Padme Amidala (new) - This new version of Padme Amidala minifigure looks better than her CW version from 9515 The Malevolence. She got new double sided face, hair piece, and cool body markings. She equipped with a regular blaster.
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi (new) - He looks so funny because of a newly added hair piece on him. But overall he is still good new minifigure. Just like the other new 2013 Jedi minifigure, he got printed uniform on his body and legs. A blue bladed lightsaber is equipped to him.
  • Clone Pilot (new) - He is actually the same as the regular Clone Trooper minifigure from 75000 Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas but with slightly different helmet and torso markings. He equipped with a blaster pistol.
  • Clone Trooper Captain (new) - Unlike the Clone Sergeant from 75019 AT-TE, this Clone minifigure is correctly named. Red colors as the Phase I Captain marker are printed on his helmet, torso, and arms. A newly included blaster rifle also equipped to him.
  • Super Battle Droid (x2) - There is nothing new about them.
Republic Gunship
This newer version of Republic Gunship is really great and pretty accurate to the movie version. It comes with a lot of features like 2 opening cockpit, a decent space for troop transport and scaled smaller vehicle, retractable doors, storage area below the pilot cockpit and above the rear cannon, 3 movable cannons (two in front and one in back), 4 laser turrets with bubble canopies and its gunner seat, and 8 flick-fire missiles. There also a rack of additional flick missiles, a carrying handle, and a swoop bike that included to this iconic vehicle.

This preview is based on the images and video coverage of LEGO® Star Wars™ 75021 Republic Gunship when displayed in 2013 NY Toy Fair from FBTB Flickr Stream and YouTube channel.

75019 AT-TE Preview

LEGO® 75019 AT-TE will be officially available on August 2013. The price of this set is $89.99.
Minifigures
  • Battle Droid Commander (new) - He is just the newly 2013 released regular Battle Droid with yellow markings on his head and torso. He equipped with a regular blaster.
  • Battle Droid (new) - He is the same Geonosis version of the separatist droid minifigure from 75015 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid. Only a regular blaster equipped to him.
  • Mace Windu (new) - Overall he looks like the previous minifigure from 9525 Palpatine's Arrest. There are only new printed pants and legs on him. He equips his purple bladed trademark lightsaber.
  • Coleman Trebor (new) - He is brand new minifigure in the SW line. His head head piece is quite unique molded. He got printed trademark Jedi uniform on his body and legs. A green bladed lightsaber is equipped to him.
  • Clone Trooper Sergent (new) - Actually, this Clone Trooper minifigure naming isn't correct because the Phase I Sergeant from 75000 Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas officially has olive green color scheme on his armor. He more accurately named as Clone Trooper Commander because of his yellow markings. A newly included blaster rifle also equipped to him.
Republic AT-TE
Just like the previous version, this new 2013 AT-TE is really cool and epic. It comes removable driver cockpit, postionable mass-driver cannon with one gunner seat and two flick-fire missile, six bubble turrets, and six movable legs. There is a room inside its rear body that stuffed with two chairs, a compartmant, and a ladder. It can be used as a troop transport. This iconic Republic vehicle also included with a pop-out lever in the middle body just like the older one for more playability.

A brown fabric cap, a Sith Force lightning, and a red bladed lightsaber with bended and chromed hilt are equipped to him.

Dooku's Hangar on Geonosis
Geonosis Hangar Playset - As I explained above, this hangar playset cool and lovely designed. It mostly made from brown, grey, and black colored pieces. A speeder parking place and a hidden place to store the accessories are included to it. The epic features of this cool playset are a movable lever that can be connected to a minifigure for jumping or flying effect and a simple mechanism for knocking the hangar pillar.

Dooku's Flitknot Speeder - This Flitknot Speeder has same design with the Separatist version from 75012 BARC Speeder with Sidecar but with different color scheme which is more in Geonosis version.

5 Top Selling Sets in January 2013

LEGO® Shop at Home Affiliate Team has released the list of 5 Top Selling Sets in January 2013. You will probably get surprised just like myself because this list is dominated by some sets from a theme that would be phased out after 2013. Beside that, there are no Star Wars™ sets that included in it. Here is the list,

Pos.SetWhere to Buy
1st70503 The Golden Dragon
2nd70500 Kai's Fire Mech
3rd70502 Cole's Earth Driller
4th76000 Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze: Aquaman on Ice
5th70501 Warrior Bike
*The price above can change anytime

I believe those four 2013 Ninjago Winter Sets above become the top January 2013 selling LEGO® Products because they are the part of last Ninjago sets that released in 2013. A LEGO® Sets reviewer on YouTube also had predicted 7503 The Golden Dragon would be an eagerly anticipated set because of the Golden Ninja minifigure and this set is currently the cheaper way to get it.

Meanwhile, from the top 5 sets above, I am only interested on 76000 Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze: Aquaman on Ice. Mr. Freeze's helmet piece would be suitable if used by Umbaran Soldier from 75013 Umbaran MHC (Mobile Heavy Cannon).

So, what do you think about 5 Top Selling Sets in January 2013 above?
